Epigenomics
Epigenetics involves the study of changes in the regulation of gene activity and expression that are not dependent on the DNA sequence. Epigenomics refers to a more global analysis of epigenetic changes across the entire genome. The epigenetic changes include DNA methylation and histone modification, which regulate high-order DNA structure and gene expression.
Epigenomic sequencing services:
- ChIP Sequencing: used to identify binding sites of DNA-associated proteins.
- MeDiP Sequencing: used to analyze genome-wide DNA methylation based on immunoprecipitation of methylated cytosines.
- Bisulfite Sequencing: used to analyze genome-wide DNA methylation based on bisulfite conversion of methylated cytosines to uracil.
