Drug Array

Many new disease targets emerged from 1994 to 2001, but there are not enough drug-like molecules to match them. Therefore, besides finding new disease-related targets, identifying new relationships between diseases and existing druggable targets is also an important, alternative approach in drug R & D. BGI has designed a capture array, a drug array for profiling 1,325 target genes related to more than 100 diseases. The array is an efficient selection tool that will not only help researchers in their studies on disease mechanisms but also provide opportunities for drug repositioning and personalized medicine.
