Quality Control:

To assure sequencing service quality, the Quality Management Department has established a strict quality control system to monitor every step in the data generation and analysis pipeline. These quality systems cover each step from sample receipt to reporting results. Our processes use a special LIMS system which is applied by the Genome Sequencing group to record and monitor all information in real-time, including sample management, sample test, library preparation, and sequencing. Our certifications include ISO 9001:2008, Illumina CSpro and Agilent Sure Select.

The QC system includes:

1. Environment QC: Daily temperature and humidity test and daily water quality testing are performed.
2. Material QC: New experimental consumables and reagents are quality tested
3. Sample QC: DNA, RNA, and tissue sample testing. Testing includes:
1. Concentration (ng/μL)
2. Molar concentration (nmol/L)
3. Total mass (μg)
4. Fragment size (bp)
5. OD260/280
6. OD260/230
7. RIN
8. 28S:18S
9. Testing equipment includes Invitrogen Qubit Fluorometer, Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer, Thermo Fisher NanoDrop ND-8000, ABI StepOnePlus Real-Time PCR System, Agarose Gel Electrophoresis.
4. Library QC: The library QC provides internal quality control in sequencing experiments. We measure:
1. Library concentration
2. Fragment size (bp)
3. Molar concentration (nmol/l) test.
4. The test methods include Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer and ABI StepOnePlus Real-Time PCR System.
5. Data QC: Rigorous QC for raw sequencing data. Only qualified raw data can enter the data analysis stage.

Quality Assurance

The Quality Assurance Unit (QAU) in the Quality Management Department investigates customer inquiries or complaints and uses this feedback to improve internal processes and make advancements to quality issues. Through continuous process optimization, the Genome Sequencing Platform endeavors to improve its quality management and provide better sequencing service for customers.
